WE ARE SEEKING FULL & PART TIME SUPPORT WORKERS TO JOIN A SPECIALIST CARE TEAM IN HARLOW

Permanent Role

Employed by a Respected and Specialist Care Provider

DRIVING LICENSE ESSENTIAL to apply for this role

£10.50 per hour days, £11.00 per hour waking nights and £65.00 per sleepover +company benefits

Full Time and Part Time hours available

Shifts on a ROTA basis including some weekends

Rota given 1 month in advance approx.

We are recruiting for Personal Assistants/ Carers to join a specialist team in supporting our client who has a muscle wasting condition (Spinal Muscular Atrophy – Type 2) .

Our client is in the second year of a four year degree in Fashion at Brighton University and requires support both at home and at University. Due to the current covid situation she is currently based in Harlow full time, studying remotely and hopes to return to Brighton for term times when the situation is safer.

The Role:
Providing all aspects of personal care and therapy assistance.

Support in social activities and accompanying this lady on holidays

Assisting with domestic tasks and food preparation

Support in some technical activities like photography, filming and other activities to be directed by client, no experience is needed but is welcomed.

About You:
You must be friendly, flexible, reliable and a good communicator.

You will have a respectful attitude; combined with being able to take direction whilst still recognising when to use your own initiative, or when to take a step back.

A full clean driving licence is essential.

You must be prepared to travel between Harlow and Brighton to support both home life and University life. Travel expenses will be paid for travel between home and University.

Previous care experience would be advantageous, but not essential as full specialist training will be given.

Shift Pattern:
Working a combination of shifts including: –

Day shifts, waking nights, day shift plus sleepover

Double up shifts (morning and evening)

You will be working within a small team providing care and support all year round, including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis

We would also be looking for a person who is just interested in waking nights.

Please note it is a completely non-smoking environment
